SEO Strategies in 2019
If you really want to be ahead between your competitors in your business game, it’s not enough to keep your eyes on the latest SEO trends; you should also anticipate some of the basic Seo strategies for coming year 2019.
But is it
really possible?
The answer
would be – yes and no. The thing is that we can’t predict what surprises search
engines prepare for us. However, we can still make some predictions according
to the latest updates and taking off SEO
trends. Some of them are mentioned below;
1. Watch Your User Engagement To Website
It’s a famous fact
that Google makes everything visible to users, so it considers lots of
so-called ‘behavioral’ factors while ranking any websites. Moreover, with this surety you would like to improve the conversion rate and increase
time spent on your site. That’s why make sure the user is satisfied with your
website starting from the content and finishing with the design.
Every SEO specialist should py attention
to each & every user experience signals as:
·
Organic CTR (Click-Through-Rate)
· Session Duration Time
·
Bounce Rate
·
Pogo-sticking
So how can you
improve them? There some most important techniques:
·
Optimize Title and Description tags for better CTR
·
Create in-depth content
·
Use LSI keywords
·
Improve usability
·
Increase page load speed
2. Mobile Responsive Website
Nowadays around
85% of Google searches are made from mobile devices (in some niches numbers go
up to 95%). That’s why Google has already rolled out mobile-first indexing and will be making the web
more mobile-friendly in the future. So make sure your website has responsive
design (I suggest using it instead of separate mobile version) or both
mobile and desktop versions have equivalent content.
3. Video content
How often do
you catch yourself watching a 15-minute video instead of reading a big article
(even though it’s perfectly optimized and may answer your question)? According
to research of networking giant Cisco, video content will
take around 90% of all online traffic by 2021. So if you still sleep on video
content, think about it in 2019. I suggest combining video content with
your text articles, but don’t forget that YouTube videos should also be
SEO-optimized.
4. Voice search has already captured SEO market
Google voice
search is no more about calling a phone number and telling keywords you want to
find as it used to be back in 2010. Nowadays more and more people prefer using
voice queries and commands (around 20% of mobile searches are made by voice).
The future of voice search is still unknown, but it will certainly continue to
become more intelligent, responsive, and accurate. So you should take into
account some aspects of SEO that affect voice search:
·
Optimization of featured snippets
·
Long-tail voice-oriented keywords
·
Schema Metadata
·
Local SEO
5. Featured snippets is must in future SEO
If you make a
query using a popular keyword, you would probably see not only paid and organic
results in SERP as it used to be a decade ago but also a variety of featured
snippets (knowledge graph, rich answers, instant functionality etc.). Google
fills its SERP with more and more non-organic results, which is especially
noticeable on mobile devices. The text, video or image are taken directly from
the webpage that is linked to in the snippet. So if you optimize your page for
the featured snippet, it may appear at the very top of SERP.
How to get
featured:
·
Make sure your page already ranks high (according to Ahrefs,
99.58% of featured pages rank in top 10 of Google)
·
Ask the question in your article and answer it (use several
questions in subheadings to cover more queries, but don’t overdo)
·
Use eye-catching images and videos
6. Content optimization and On-page SEO
When focusing
on trends, you should never forget about basic on-page SEO. Having
technical issues such as low page load speed, duplicate content or missing
Title and Description meta tags, will demolish all your efforts. Keep in mind
that even though you may know only some most popular Google algorithms/updates
as Panda, Penguin etc.
7. Prioritize Pages in Website Navigation
Navigation is
the most important structure element on your entire website. Why? Well, because
it’s the first thing linking to your ‘other’ pages and it’s usually at
the very top of the page, giving those links a lot of weight.
You can see,
for example, that pages optimized for some of the most important keywords are
linked to right from the navigation menu. These links are found on every page
on the website, making those pages look very important in Google’s eyes.
That’s actually
one of the reasons the Homepage has such high authority on all sites. It’s
because, usually, the logo on every page links to it.
8. Use of Breadcrumbs to Website is a fruitful SEO strategy in 2019
Adding
breadcrumbs can be very beneficial to your website, especially if you are dealing with an
eCommerce business. This is due to the fact that they create structure within your
site.
Most, if not
all online stores, at least link their products from their category pages. This means
that the category pages send some equity to the product pages, making them
stronger.
However, I’m
pretty sure though that you want your category pages to rank high, because
those are the ones optimized for the keywords with the most search volume. With
Breadcrumbs, you will consolidate the strength of your Category pages by
linking to them with all your subcategories and related products.
On a custom
platform you might not be able to do it yourself without coding knowledge.
However, a programmer should be able to do it pretty quick, so it won’t be a
big expense.
9. Daily Monitor Your Site
Daily monitor of your website is a must in present scenario. If you don’t track your rankings and traffic, you can’t spot
the issues with your website.
What pages do
the users leave quickly? You know you can improve those first, especially if
the search volume for them is high!
Also, if you monitor your organic search traffic you can analyse the error and rectify it to generate progress and, at best, you will prove the tagline-- "labour reaps rewards" when search engines surprise you with boost in your page ranking.
You can use
Google Search Console and Google Analytics to monitor your organic search
traffic and issues with your pages. These tools are cost effective and fairly easy to install as long as
you have access to your server. I recommend using Google Tag Manager to implement
all tracking codes. They will be easier to manage afterwards.
If you want to
go to the next level in SEO, you can try SEO tool named-- "HotJar", which creates a heatmap
of where your users click most on a page. However, that’s a lot harder to
understand and improve correctly, so an experienced person is required.
10. Install an SSL Certificate for more security purpose
SSL has become
a ranking factor since a decade. If you’re wondering why, the answer is pretty
simple i.e.; security. Cybercrime has been on the rise constantly and
more and more people share more and more sensitive content on the web.
Comodo SLL certification is a good option for better security and rescue your website from bad ips & irrelevant content.

Thank you for appreciation Peter... I will let you know if i need it
